A community for adults with developmental disabilities and their caregivers gives families something many have never had—a shared path forward. But for too many families, time is running short. Aging parents face an uncertain future, and every year without a better option brings more fear, isolation, and fewer choices.

Ohana Communities offers a better way—now. A place of connection, dignity, and belonging for adults with disabilities, and peace of mind and support for caregivers.

Families need this community now. PLEASE Join us—give, partner, and help build the first Ohana community.

fOR THE FIRST TIME IN 35 YEARS, ALICE LET SUSIE WALK AWAY ON HER OWN

Because in this community, everyone knew Susie - and everyone had her back. When Alice moved into this neighborhood with her nonverbal daughter Susie, she expected support - but not independence. One day, a neighbor gently encouraged Alice to let Susie to walk to the community center alone.

She did. Alone.

And for the first time in Susie’s life, independence was possible - because safety, familiarity, and community surrounded her.

THE OHANA WAY

True independence doesn’t mean doing everything alone. It means being safe enough to try.

Inspired by proven models like Edwards Place
